Straszne, dzikie nie do ogarniecia przestepstwo!
Homophobic Twitter users have outraged others by mocking the death of Ayrshire gay man Stuart Walker.
Mr Walker, 28, was found dead near an industrial estate early on Sunday morning. Police said he had suffered a “violent” and “sustained” attack.
Although thousands of people took to Twitter to express sympathy for Mr Walker’s family, a small number of individuals posted extreme anti-gay remarks.
One, @mabsmiller, wrote: “I think it’s great what happened to Stuart walker better dead now than infecting people with #Aids.”
In another tweet, the user wrote that Mr Walker “got what he deserved” and would “burn in hell”.
Other messages, which used vile homophobic slurs, were even more offensive.
Another user, @Realist_Eman, wrote: “Lool a gay Man called Stuart Walker got killed for being gay, that will teach people not to be gay.”
In a later tweet, he called Mr Walker a “battyman”.
Despite the small number of homophobic messages, the hashtag #ripstuartwalker was trending yesterday as users shared their shock at Mr Walker’s death.
Police are keeping an open mind as to a motive for his murder.
